Yesterday while the sun was setting
And the breeze was whistling sweet melodies
My heart needed a warm melodic touch
As I was thinking about you
Yesterday I was looking for signs of leaving
Yesterday, a raging fire inside for the first step,
Reliquishing the need to want to stay
I held sweet memory,
You hold me back, but do you really need me?
I guess its time for me to let me go
And walk, walk never o’er my back
Not even the sweet memories strumming
Serenading the thought of a comeback
I have found a new avenue to park my heavy wagon
You found a new southern Easterly to sail you through
When you reach an oasis, would you please smile for me.
For yesterday, I smiled for you one last time
I was thinking about you,
Today, this avenue before me
Is a Journey. Would you smile for me?
